Vonairs - New Swedish Big room Housemusic - duo, first single 'Fucamo'

INTERVIEW #1 Thanks for taking the time to do this interview Vonairs. Tell us a bit about yourself, your name, age, where you're from and an interesting fact if you like... We're two swedish guys, Petter and Elias, in our early twenties who loves to play and produce housemusic. we live for it. At the moment we live i Stockholm, Sweden, most of the time in our studio (haha). When we're not in the studio we spend time on the nightclubs or at the gym, gotta work on them biceps for all the fistpumping done on stage. #2 -Is there a story behind your name Vonairs? Not really, when we decided to start produce housemusic together I (Elias) just thought of a catchy band-name and Vonairs crossed my mind pretty quick. Petter and the other guys in the crew liked it and here we are now. I think it's cool. Vonairs is like ”viktory on air”. #3 -How long have you been a band? Since March 2013. #4 -What first got you interested in forming housemusic-duo? I (Petter) think it was around 2...

Soul siren Teni unveils sultry new video for 'Your Love Is The Key'

Comparisons to the great Sade Adu aside, soul singer and producer TENI is an African star in her own  right, with the likes of Afrobeat co-creator Tony Allen, the BBC and original Rock bible NME counted as  huge fans of hers. Her latest single “Your Love Is The Key” is a stunning and sensual number which sees  the eclectic musician match her sultry captivating vocals to a slow-burning Afrobeat-infused groove-filled  dance milieu, to stunning effects. Shot in Labadi Beach in Accra, Ghana, the visuals for “Your Love Is The Key” is a simple, natural and  ethereal experience which not only accentuates the sultry uniqueness of the single but also pays homage to  early 80’s photo-cinema and music. In full diva mode, Teni is glorious as she channels her sensuality and  shows off her beautiful silhouette - rendering her viewer in awe and fully spellbound. Afrodisiac the  debut album by Teni is out now on iTunes,...

Ivan Mihaljevic & Side Effects

Thoughts while I listen. First thoughts as I begin to listen… The vocalist has a very clean sound. He holds tone very well. Instrumentals are perfectly produced. Some of these riffs almost remind me of the band Tool. The vocalist, Ivan, the more I listen to his voice, the more I like it. I am impressed by his sound. But not him alone, the rest of the band creates hints of nostalgia in my brain as to other bands that I feel their sound is inspired from. There is an excellent ability to create multiple sounds in a single song, with simple changes of speed during the song, which many bands are unable to complete. By the time "What is Underneath" began, I almost thought I was listening to "Party In The U.S.A." by Miley Cyrus, comically, I was wrong!!! This song starts out a little weird to me, but when Ivan extends his vocals a bit louder and farther out, his sound really does continue to impress me. They surely manage to do one thing that even some of the most wel...

J. Jackson: “Truth Be Told”

Detroit, MI- Lyricist extraordinaire, J. Jackson, is hard at work on his debut project. While Jackson is not giving us any clues about the project’s title or release date other than this summer, the content being delivered is undeniable. To further whet the appetites of his audience, Jackson is releasing behind the scenes footage of the recording of his latest offering “Truth Be Told”.  “Truth Be Told” is produced by Chanes, a beat-smith who has worked closely with Shady/Aftermath as well as J. Jackson. The yet to be released track serves as a classic vent session that capsulizes the time of its recording. J. Jackson gives the listener an insight of his twenty-some-odd years shifting frantically from vague to liberal detail in roughly two minutes. What isn’t said outright in the lyrics, is still communicated in Jackson’s delivery that is simultaneously paced and urgent.  “Truth Be Told” is only the beginning for J. Jackson as he is hard at work, preparing to release...
